'Tehran 57' poised to top Iran’s box office

In a lively public premiere, the comedy film 'Tehran 57' has held its first public screening at Shemiran Cineplex in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The event drew a large turnout of moviegoers and featured appearances by cast members Ahmad Mehranfar, Hamed Ahangi, Anahita Dargahi, Maryam Saadat, Siavash Cheraghipour, and Einollah Daryaee.

The nationwide release of 'Tehran 57', directed by Iman Yazdi, officially began on Wednesday.

Early reception suggests that the retro‑themed comedy is primed to become one of Iran’s best‑selling box‑office comedies of 2026.
